For years, the Burger Tank has been more than just a food truck parked on the corner of 13th & Norris. It has been an essential fixture to the Temple experience.

The Go-To Spot: It was the reliable place for that perfect late-night burger, a quick, hearty lunch between classes, and the celebratory meal after a big exam. Burger Tank has been part of the colorful food truck community, providing affordable, delicious fuel for our Owls community for years.

On the late hours of Dec 3, 2025, a devastating fire swept through the Burger Tank after close. The damage resulted in a total loss. The truck, the specialized equipment, the inventory, and everything the owners built over the years has been lost.

While we are incredibly grateful that nobody was hurt, the financial reality is crushing.

Insurance coverage is not enough to cover the cost of a full replacement, all the necessary commercial kitchen equipment, and the extensive permits required to get a new truck operational.

**We are facing a massive gap to:

1. Purchase and customize a new food truck chassis.

2. Replace industrial-grade kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, refrigerators).

3. Cover initial operating costs, licensing, and safety inspections.**

Our Goal: Bring Back the Burgers

We are setting a goal of 75,000 to ensure the Burger Tank can return to its spot and continue serving the community we love.

Every donation, no matter the size—from the cost of a single cheeseburger to a large contribution—gets us closer to firing up the grill again.
