Calling everyone from West Hants, East Hants & beyond!

To anyone who has stopped in for a bite to eat, to enjoy karaoke night or any special event that Big E's has to offer, this goes out to you.

The Alexander's have put blood, sweat and tears into breathing life back into the local Mount Uniacke Pub, affectionately known as Big E's. They opened this business to honor their beloved family member Eric, who they tragically lost in a motorcycle accident a couple years back.

On March 5th, they suffered a kitchen fire which caused significant damages to the restaurant, forcing them to close their doors for the time being while repairs can be done.

This was a devastating loss for the family, and unfortunately insurance is unable to cover the full extent of the damages, leaving the Alexander's responsible for the rest of the costs.

The Alexander family has given so much to the local community and have hearts made of gold. You never will come across more hard working people. Big E's has been the local gathering spot that we all have been able to enjoy over the past year, the Alexander's have always welcomed everyone into the pub with open arms. They are so grateful for everyone's support as they approach their one year anniversary serving our community on March 29th.

I urge you to share this post, give where possible and help us get Big E's back to doing what it does best, serving our community the best meals, mixing drinks and supplying entertainment/hosting events for our community to enjoy.

Whether you like singing karaoke, attending wing night with your friends or just enjoying a family night out for a meal that you don't have to cook, now is our time to help bring these things back to our area and support a local family who has worked so hard to bring new and enjoyable things to our community.

It is more important now, than ever before, to support local.
