Bring my Best Friend Baako to Auburn: Just One Final Step!
Donation protected
We have reached the homestretch! After years of work on his education in Ghana Baako has been accepted to Auburn University and has been awarded a prestigious graduate assistanceship of $50,300. This covers most but not all of what is needed from his tuition to housing. He is $1654 short of what is required by the University to attend (at this point I have stepped up to cover it) and he has a SEVIS Fee of $350 and a Visa fee and flight to the U.S.
After helping raise the money to pay for his graduate work in Ghana many of y’all have gotten us right to the end. With your help Baako will be here by Christmas 2024 and will begin work on his Auburn Master’s Degree soon after. If I ever helped you with anything or you've been inspired by the work we do at ACROSS please pitch in and help my best friend achieve his dream. He has worked so hard when people have invested in him (graduated near the top of his class in Ghana) and, after years and years of working towards this moment he only has the tiniest of steps to be able to get here and cross the finish line.
Auburn folks who aren't aware I worked in Ghana with Baako in 2016 and 2017. Back then we used to ride an old motorcycle through the savanna and from village to village and dream about him finishing his degree at Auburn University. I didn't think it would take seven years but he worked his tail off on a degree in Ghana and is just the tiniest of steps from making that dream a reality. Let's help Baako become an Auburn Man (who then, as the most diehard of fans know, will need no introduction)
