Bring Azia Home

Hello everyone, I am starting this fundraiser to bring my daughter home from Miami,FL.

My daughter Azia, is 20 years old and mom to a beautiful young daughter.

September 2023, she and the father of her child went to Miami, FL. During this trip, Azia was involved in a terrible car accident, during which she sustained a traumatic brain injury. No idea of the location, and no way to file an insurance claim. The father of my granddaughter is nowhere to be found.

After a month in intensive care, she was transferred to a skilled nursing facility in Miami, where she is still residing at this present time.

Azia is slowly recovering, but is currently not able to speak, write, or engage in simple self-care measures. I am not certain about the state of her current cognizance level, and the neurologist I spoke with, told me that with these types of injuries it is impossible to give any definitive answer as to how much mental capacity she’ll get back, and in which time frame.

Over the past 8 years I have raised Azia and her brother in Spokane, WA. Now, with the help of my 18 year old son, I care for and do whatever it takes to ensure that her daughter, my granddaughter is receiving the best care and love from us. I know that raising her until her mom is able to do so again, is the most important mission at this time, along with having Azia back in Washington State to connect her with her daughter and her other family members.

I work a full time job, and I am able to keep food on the table for the three of us.

Nevertheless, I am unable to afford an attorney, and the cost to get her transported and situated into a skilled Washington State Nursing facility. Having her here with us, will enable family to visit her regularly, support her healing journey, and enable me to better oversee my daughter's recovery.

In order to achieve Azia's move back to Washington State, I have reached out and connected with free legal clinics, but while they are certainly a great help for simpler matters, they were unable to help me get the necessary legal representation to accomplish this goal.
