Bring Austin Home: Support Needed

My name is Pam Ditzhazy. I am assisting the Regier family with this GoFundMe post. They are in the midst of the tragedy of losing their beloved Austin to an accident that occurred in the Philippines.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to cover the cost of bringing Austin home.

The Regier's message:

We are utterly shocked and heartbroken to share the news that our beloved Austin passed away in a free-diving accident in the Philippines on November 14, 2024.

He was swimming with new friends when he did not surface as expected and medical professionals were unable to resuscitate him.

Austin was such a lightning bolt, a ray of sunshine, a booming voice and big beard. He was known for his ability to talk to anybody, his tenacious appetite for competition and his discipline and commitment to sports and the teammates that he loved.

Austin spent the last year of his life as a cyclor on the New York Yacht Club's American Magic team, training and competing in Barcelona, Spain.

He was on his travel stint through Southeast Asia for six weeks before returning home to Seattle Washington when the Lord decided it was time to call him home.
