The Monroe Road Area is growing and changing. We want our neighborhoods to thrive. We advocate for strong schools, healthy community, and responsible development.  And we want to continue to Bring Arts to MoRA.

Public Art along Monroe Road began with the creation of the Embrace sculpture, located at Monroe Road and Conference Drive. Built by the community, it is now the community's gathering spot — and venue for MoRA's Thursdays Live, a free summer music series with great live bands.  The muralTapestry, as well as other local art, have popped up along Monroe Road, including the Patchwork series, the street murals at three intersections along Monroe Road. 


This fall, October 2022, the Actor's Theatre of Charlotte continues its outdoor live musical theatre with performances at The Barn at MoRA, a Levine property, located in the McAlpines Center, 8300 Monroe Road. 

We are showing that this area supports the arts with our Bring Arts to MoRA campaign.  Funds raised go towards bringing vibrant, diverse and community-driven art, artists, and art organizations to Monroe Road.
