Happy New Year! My name is Catherine Studemeyer and I am fundraising on behalf of The Kennedy Family of Newberry, South Carolina-- Lane, Samantha, and baby Anna Kate. We're raising funds to help bring Anna Kate from the Mission Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Asheville, NC, to the Prisma Health Children's Hospital NICU in Columbia, South Carolina.

Anna Kate was due to arrive in late February 2022 but decided to make an early entrance on December 28, 2021, in Asheville, NC, while Lane and Samantha were visiting family for the Christmas holiday. Anna Kate is strong and healthy, but as she was born at 31 weeks her doctors want her to remain in the NICU until her original due date. Any money donated will be given directly to the Kennedys and put towards medical travel expenses incurred by mom, dad, and baby, as they work to move closer to home in South Carolina.

A NICU transfer is both expensive and not covered by health insurance. Any support is greatly appreciated, and being able to defer some or all of the cost of medical travel up front would be a blessed relief to the Kennedys.
