Bring Angel Home to His Family: ICE Unlawfully Detained Him
Donation protected
My name is Milady.
Recently, I was newlywed to my husband that I was with for seven years, Angel. We also discovered this year that our first child is due in September.
He is a permanent resident in the United States of America, meaning he is a active green card holder. He has been here since he was an infant child over 30 years ago.
On Tuesday 4/22/25, on the anniversary of us being together for seven years, we got legally married. Our friends and family were so ecstatic to celebrate this new chapter of life and love with us. We were looking forward to this new chapter together as well as raising our new baby together.
So From 4/24/25 to 5/4/25 we went on our honeymoon to his birth country, Dominican Republic.
And being that he was only a permanent resident, we made sure we filled out all of the proper visas, paperwork, and any other documents needed for him to travel out of and return safely back to the United States of America.
Unfortunately With these new laws in place that this so-called president has created, my newlywed husband, my partner, the person I built my life with for the entirety of my 20s, the father of my child, was detained unlawfully by ice in the Miami international airport on our way home Sunday 5/4/25. He was held in the airport jail holding cell for more than 72 hours before getting any information as to why he was detained and before ice actually came and picked him up. He was picked up on Thursday 5/8/25.
When Ice did proceeded to pick him up, they took him to one of the worst detention centers in America, the Krome detention center in Florida. If you google the place where he is at, all types of horrible things will pop up.

He does not have any recent charges, he is a lawful abiding permanent resident, as well as he has a career, he’s a great husband, and an active member of society.
Being that this is considered an immigration court matter, and not a criminal court matter things are going a bit differently for my husband.
He needs legal representation as well as bond funds, and being that permanent residents or immigrants don’t have the option to pay 10% of their bond we are required to pay the full amount.
He doesn’t deserve this, no human deserves this at all! Just because they want to live their life as well as take care of their families.
Angel has been through so much in his life and he has grown so much as a man, as a human, as a partner, and even as a overall member of society in America, he has learnt from any mistakes he’s ever made.
We also have been through so much together as well, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today if he did not mold me and help me find the peace and serenity that I needed in my life. I don’t know where I would be without him. And it isn’t sitting well with me that the government can just rip him away from me because they feel like it. All we wanted was to be able to get over our traumatic past, be the best partners we csn be to each other, as well as build our family in a happy and successful way. As a pregnant woman, this is not healthy for our baby’s health the way that this is stressing me out.
Update:
we were able to make a deposit for a lawyer! We still need funds for a bond hearing. He also has now been transferred to a different ice facility That is way further, and it is in Raymondville, Texas.
We are kindly asking for any donations to help us with this terrible, horrible, evil situation that the only reason we are in is because of a so-called president.
We are just trying to get the funds necessary to bring him back home!
Anything and everything is greatly appreciated!
