Dear friends, family, and all who knew and loved Alice Gail Fillmore,

Our hearts ache as we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on April 2nd. She was a vibrant, loving soul who touched the lives of so many.

For years, Mom was the cornerstone of our family, especially for her five grandchildren. She dedicated countless hours to watching them while I worked, providing unwavering love and support. Her joy radiated through her time spent with them. She cherished every moment, even with the youngest grandchild she was able to meet.

Mom's impact extended far beyond our immediate family. She was a cherished member of her church community, where her faith and kindness shone brightly. In the 1990s, she ran her own successful hairdressing business, where she not only styled hair but also built lasting friendships and provided a listening ear to her clients.

She was a unique individual – funny, blunt, and undeniably stubborn. But beneath her strong exterior was a heart of gold. If she loved you, she fiercely looked out for your best interests. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and laughter, and her absence leaves a profound void in our lives.

The past year has been a series of devastating blows for our family. We've endured three moves, the heartbreaking loss of my father in January, and my job loss in March. Now, we are faced with the financial burden of bringing Mom and her ashes home respectfully.

We are reaching out to our community for support during this incredibly painful time. The funds raised will be used to:

* Cover the costs of cremation and an urn.

* Transport her ashes to her final resting place.

* Help with any memorial service expenses to honor her memory.

* Provide stability for her grandchildren during this difficult time.
