Bring Alabi the Scottie Home from China
Donation protected
This is Alabi . Three years ago, she went to Wenzhou, China with my mother, an English teacher in China. On the 28thof December of 2019, she was put in a kennel so my mother could take about a 20-day trip home for annual leave. After she arrived, the pandemic broke out and borders closed. For the past 14 months, this little dog, the love of my mother’s life, has been in a Chinese kennel and my mother has yet to be allowed to travel back to China, despite numerous attempts.
Alabi is now nine years old and has been showing signs of declining health and depression. A kennel can only do so much. At this point, it appears that it might be months more before my mother might be allowed to return to China, so Alabi needs to come home to be with my mother, where she is loved and cared for, before she declines further. The process is not easy, and very expensive, but time is of the essence and your support, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.
Following is a breakdown of the anticipated expenses:
Veterinary urgent care, medication, and boarding in China
$1050
Government and health permitting at the province level
$200
Accompanied transfer from Wenzhou to Shanghai
$600
7-day Veterinary quarantine, vet check in Shanghai
$500
Government and health permitting at the country level
$200
Fees for shipping agent in Shanghai
$1500
Preparation and materials for shipping
$450
Air cargo fees from Shanghai to LAX
$2500
Veterinary care on arrival in United States
$1000
Thank you for your consideration of helping this little dog come home.
