Bring Adam Scott Miller Home: A Journey of Love and Legacy

Dear Friends, Family, Visionary Art Community, ASMethod Students, and Compassionate Supporters,

I reach out to you with a tender heart and deep vulnerability. On 11 July 2024, the world lost an extraordinary visionary artist, devoted father, cherished son and friend, Adam Scott Miller aka ASM.

Adam’s life was an enigmatic blend of brilliance, creativity, and profound struggle. While his journey was often challenging, his art, teachings, and love left a profound mark on everyone he touched, creating a legacy that will inspire generations to come.

Now, it is our turn to support Adam on his final journey.

For those who knew Adam, you understand that our daughter, Maia Lily, was the light of his life—his magnum opus. At just 11 years old, Maia has inherited her father’s remarkable artistic talent, deep intelligence, and playful spirit. Yet, losing her father to the relentless grip of mental illness has brought unimaginable pain and heartache.

To honour Adam’s memory and fulfil his final wish, I am asking for your help to support Maia in bringing him home to the USA, where his ashes can be repatriated, and his spirit can find peace. This journey is crucial not only for Adam but also for Maia, as she reconnects with the roots of her father’s lineage and finds solace in the love and support of her American family, many of whom she hasn't seen since she was a baby.

ASM had plans to return to Pennsylvania in August 2024, hoping to reunite and share American adventures with Maia during her school holidays next year. With his passing, I feel a deep responsibility to fulfil these wishes by chaperoning Maia to the USA in April 2025. This timeline will allow us to reconnect with extended family for a proper memorial and quality time, particularly with her grandfather, Paul, who is unable to travel and longs to spend time with his only grandchild.

However, this journey presents significant financial challenges that I cannot meet alone at this time. As the one who found Adam on that tragic day, I am still in the process of healing, grieving, and supporting Maia through her own journey of loss. While I am committed to making this trip possible, I humbly ask for your support to bring us a sense of grace and ease during this difficult time.

We are turning to our community to help Maia honour her father in the way he truly deserves. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to fulfilling this important mission. Your generosity will not only help Maia bring her father’s remains home but also allow her to create lasting memories with her paternal family—a gift that Adam would be eternally grateful for and one that will support and nurture Maia for years to come.
