Books allow us to travel to imaginative destinations and far-off places, all from the comfort of our own homes. They introduce us to new friends, spark creativity, and teach us so much about the world. I’ve always loved the way a good book can brighten someone’s day, and I want to share that joy with my community.

A friend of mine has a Little Free Library outside their home, and it’s become a destination point for neighbors of all ages. Inspired by their example, I hope to create a similar space in front of my own home. I live on a semi-busy side street right by a bus stop, making it the perfect spot for people to discover a new story while waiting for the bus or taking a walk. My goal is to make books accessible to everyone in our neighborhood, encouraging a love of reading and a sense of connection.

The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing the Little Free Library box and post. I’ll be installing it with my son, and together we’ll start it off by stocking it with books from our own collection.
