Hi! My name is Symone. I’m a teacher from the U.S. who has spent the last 9 months in Thailand. I’ve been busy pouring love into my students and learning so much in return. Teaching here has been one of the brightest, proudest parts of my life!

But the months of distance and extreme isolation have taken a real toll on my mental health. I’m struggling with homesickness that’s made being far from home overwhelming. I’ve fought with this decision for a while. It’s hasn’t been easy because I am dedicated to my students.

My visa expires December 5th, 2025. That date feels like a sign that I must come home to heal. I’m raising funds for a one-way ticket and safe travel so I can get back to mental healthcare, family support, and a familiar place to heal.
