Brimont Bistro (Greg Cody) Flood Rehab Webster NY

Brimont Bristo (Greg Cody) has taken a hit midship from the water main break on Saturday, January 29th, 2022. The break started sometime mid-afternoon flooding owner Greg Cody’s /Brimont’s basement and outdoor patio with over 2 1/2 feet of water. Thanks to Jake Swingly and the Webster Fire Dept, who loaned their pumps to keep the water level below 4 feet, keeping the fuseboxes from being destroyed. Unfortunately, there was other content destroyed (stock, equipment etc.) Not to mention the revenue loss to both the restaurant and employees from yet another unforeseen closure. Greg Cody, his staff and friends have worked hard to make a safe and clean environment as always for his customers. They are back up and running; however, the insurance company informed Greg that they would not cover the losses. They claimed that it was “groundwater,” and the policy would not cover “groundwater.” I didn’t realize a water main break is considered “groundwater”.
Anyone that knows Greg, realizes what he means to this community and the many ways that he has helped others in need. It’s our turn to lend him a hand. Please give from the heart and give what you can. Restauranteurs, as have many businesses, have had a hard go during this weird time we are living in. Please help out.
