Please Share with everyone you know. We could use some help with finances getting back and forth to OKC Children's Hospital for his procedures. Update on Briley Babb. His doctor from Children's called today and is now looking at changing his treatment plan to Stem Cell Transplant. The 3 other boys will be having their blood checked on Monday 4/3/2018 to see if they could be a Stem Cell match for their brother. After these results Briley Babb is being admitted into Hospital to have another bone marrow biopsy. We are not sure if the Immunosuppression Therapy is still on or off his treatment plan. The doctor just mentioned today on phone that he had ran more tests and wanted to get other boys checked.. So we never had Briley Babb's blood drive because his prognosis was at a standstill but now that it has taken a turn for the worse I am asking everyone to go to your local Oklahoma Blood Institute and ask to donate in Briley Babb's name. If you are an O negative blood type please get swabbed for stem cell match. Thanks for everyone's prayers! Please, Please, keep my family in your prayers. Looks like a long road ahead but Briley Babb and our family are so optimistic that he will be cured!!

After patiently waiting  7 months with a mild/moderate diagnosis of Aplastic Anemia his disease progressed very rapidly in only a month. We are starting the Stem Cell Transplant journey. He looks perfectly fine but he bone marrow has stopped working at a sufficient manner. His doctor change his treatment plan twice this week. We first thought that we were going to start Immunosuppressive Therapy but after last call the Dr Khan his leaning towards. Stem cell transplant. Please keep us in ur prayers ans share with as many people as u can so we can may be able to rent a vehicle for these lost-distance hospital stays. Anything counts and is greatly appreciated.

Hello  my name is Chasity Collier Babb.  I am the mother to 4 wonderful, ambitious, and extremely athletic boys.  My 16 year-old sons, Briley Babb was just recently diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia.  He was given these diagnoses after several weeks of taken many different tests.   Briley was scheduled to get a sports physical so he could play football his sophomore year for his hometown Crescent Tigers.  He passed the physical with flying colors, but I had noticed during the summer he was constantly covered in bruises.  His father and I requested his primary doctor do a routine blood test.  We were called the next day and were told that Briley’s blood work did not come back with favorable results.  Briley’s platelet count was in the 45,000 range and both his White Blood, and Red Blood were also low.   His doctor referred him to a hematologist at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.

So unfortunately Briley was not given the okay to play any sports, especially football.  Although all his Blood work levels are on the low side, the doctor has just been monitoring him every month.  Since August his levels have not changed.  They haven’t gone up or gone down.  Yes, this is good news but not to my son.  For a teenager that has played every sport since he was 7, this diagnosis has taken an extreme toll on his mental health.  He has always been a happy, energetic, active boy until this diagnosis.

Briley’s entire life, as been spent succeeding, dominating to be the very Best at any and every sport he plays.  Briley’s mental health is starting to become an issue in his daily life.  Even though his levels are not at a “Severe” level they are still low enough to alter his daily activities.  He unfortanely does not have the patience to sit and wait for this disease to get worse before the doctor takes a more aggressive approach to curing my child.  My son is begging that his father and I take him to get a second opinion on his care.  We have found another hematologist but this doctor is in Tulsa, which is 2 ½ hours away from our home.

We are asking for help in raising funds to help with Briley’s treatments, as well as funds for transportation costs, food and hotel expenses.
