Brigitte and Jen's road to Healing

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we write these words to you today. As many of you already know, we lost Kamila suddenly on June 9th, after collapsing during a run.
To anyone who had the privilege of knowing Kami throughout her short journey on Earth, you will surely agree with us that the world is mourning the loss of a radiant and unforgettable star.
As you can all certainly apprehend, the loss has most severely and devastatingly impacted her parents and siblings. We hope you can welcome this message as an authentic and genuine effort to help Brigitte & Jen (parents) and Charlotte & Eli (siblings) heal from this indescribable loss. We can think of no better time for us all to come together as a community to help them as best we can for the extremely difficult days ahead.
Brigitte is a successful psychotherapist in North Bay operating her own practice and is thus self-employed. Suffice it say, she cannot perform her duties with a good and professional conscience for a significant amount of time as she works through her own grief and mental/emotional burden. This will translate to a very significant financial upset and strain to say the least.
Jen is an accomplished Educational Assistant and will be laid off for the summer which also represents a monetary challenge. It is expected that Jen return to work in the Fall, however during these unprecedented times, nothing is certain. While she is deeply committed to her work, she too must exercise caution in the name of professionalism and to protect the children she educates.
It is in this spirit that we humbly ask you to contribute any donation you can afford in order for this beautiful family to spend their energy not on the finicky details of finances, but on the enormous task of finding a place of peace. We feel we can help them achieve this in relieving financial burdens and thus allowing them to invest essential time in their emotional/mental health and that of their children who need them so following this catastrophic event.
We sincerely thank you for taking the time to read these words that were very difficult to write. I can assure you that any gesture will breathe some life into this precious and cherished family during their time of need.
