Brighton Cycling & Appleton Skills Park
Donation protected
Hello everyone! Brighton Cycling and the new Appleton Skills Park at Brighton Recreation Area are getting ready to start our spring build out. We are planning two jump lines, a pump track and more skinnies. We started last fall with a progressive drop and some berms. The plan is to have a skills park for all ages and skill levels for the community. Coaches will be able to bring kids and help them build on cornering, drops, pumping, and jumps. The community will have some more technical features to practice on.
Funds will go to the Brighton Cycling Team with 85% earmarked for the skills park and 15% earmarked for equipment and team activities.
Spring/Summer 2022
2 jump lines with 3 to 4 jumps each. The beginner line will have a progressive line that builds. The second intermediate line will also be progressive but be bigger. There will be table top style jumps so they will be rollable. The pump track will be all ages. We want it to be fun for adults down to kids on strider bikes. The skinny line will grow with smaller and larger lines so everyone can build on skills. Depending on funds and time we are planning a duel slalom track to help build cornering skills in a fun competitive setting.
