The Oliver Wendell Holmes Innovation School—an inspiring hidden gem in the heart of Dorchester—is home to 280 bright and resilient scholars ages 3–11. Like many communities across the country, ours was deeply affected by the pandemic; however, several of our Holmes families faced extraordinary hardship, with our population experiencing homelessness doubling during that time.

Despite these challenges, our school community has come together year after year to support our students. Since the pandemic, we have been able to provide holiday gifts to more than 60 families annually, offering students and families much-needed relief during an especially costly season.

This year, the need is greater than ever. We have reached a record high of 72 families who require holiday support. With the support of generous partners, we can ensure every child at the Holmes School feels seen, supported, and celebrated this holiday season. Your contribution will make a meaningful difference for our scholars and their families.

We are seeking monetary donations that will be used to provide food, toy, and clothing store gift cards for families experiencing hardship. Any amount you can give helps ease the financial stress our families face during the holidays.
