Hi everyone, my name is Arianna, and I’m a volunteer at the East Valley Animal Shelter. This Thanksgiving, a small group of us volunteers wanted to do something special for the dogs who will be spending the holiday in the shelter instead of with a family.

Last year, the West Valley Animal Shelter treated their dogs to a Thanksgiving meal, and it completely melted our hearts. It inspired us to do the same this year for the dogs at East Valley to give them a day that feels a little brighter and full of love.

We’re planning to have Thanksgiving plates for every dog at the shelter this upcoming Monday, filled with turkey, pumpkin, green beans, and carrots all safe and healthy ingredients they’ll get to enjoy.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward the food, treats, and supplies we need to make it happen. Many of these pups have been waiting for homes for months, and this simple meal is our way of reminding them that they’re seen, loved, and not forgotten.
