Mr. T is a third grade teacher in Rock Island. This year, his class is made up of 20 students that speak Swahili and are in various stages of learning English. There are many challenges that come along with this, not the least of which is adapting to a new country with different customs and cultures.

All of Mr. T’s class face additional struggles due to their socio-economic status. Many of them are in need of clothing or shoes. In the past, we’ve been able to assist students here and there but the need is much greater this year for the entire class.

Mr. T is asking for assistance to provide each of his students with a new item of clothing and socks, along with a small toy or book, for Christmas this year.

We understand the holidays are difficult for many, especially right now and appreciate any support you can give to make Christmas brighter for these amazing kids.
