Help Support My Daughter’s Lupus Journey

Hi everyone,

My name is Amber , and I’m reaching out for help for my amazing 15-year-old daughter, Cadince. She is one of the strongest, most resilient girls I know. Despite being just a teenager who loves cheer, shopping, and all things girly, she’s been facing battles no child should have to fight.

Last year, Cadince was diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune disease that causes her immune system to attack her own body. As if that weren’t enough, she also developed Shrinking Lung Syndrome—a rare and painful complication that makes it hard for her to breathe—and most recently, adrenal insufficiency caused by her long-term treatment.

She now has to receive weekly infusions, each one an hour away from home. Between medical bills, gas, and travel costs, our savings have quickly disappeared. We are so proud of her courage and spirit, but it’s been incredibly hard watching her go through all of this while trying to give her a sense of normal teenage life.

Recently, Cadince was granted a Make-A-Wish trip, something she’s beyond excited about! It’s a bright light after a very tough year. Her wish is simple—she dreams of having a little shopping spree to pick out some fun things that make her feel like herself again after so many days spent in hospitals and infusion chairs.

We’re hoping to raise some funds to help cover travel expenses and give her a chance to truly enjoy her Make-A-Wish experience without the financial stress hanging over us. Every little bit helps—whether it’s a donation, a share, or a kind word of encouragement.
