Hello, we're Brienna and Mizna, fourth year medical students at the University of Notre Dame!
In October this year we are travelling to Iquitos, Peru, to work on the medical ship Forth Hope.
This ship provides basic health and dental care to the rural communities of the Peruvian Amazon. Since 2001, Vine Trust’s Amazon Hope Programme has worked closely with the Peruvian Ministry of Health to provide a regular healthcare service to over 160 remote communities (and 1.2 million patients!) on the Amazon and its tributaries.
As part of our trip fees, we are required to fundraise $1000 each. This covers the cost of medical supplies and upkeep of the ship during the voyage.
Please help us provide the care these communities need!
