I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but here I am.

On April 4th, I was unexpectedly let go from my dog grooming job without a clear reason. Since then, I’ve also been denied my final paycheck. I’ve taken legal steps to address it through a wage theft and retaliation case, but the reality is that process can take 6–12 months to resolve.

In the meantime, I’ve been doing everything I can to move forward. I’ve gone on multiple interviews, stayed proactive, and recently secured a position with Rhino Staging. I’m continuing to look for a second job to create more stability as I rebuild.

Even with that progress, this sudden loss of income has left me in a tough spot in the short term. I’m trying to stay afloat while I bridge the gap between where I was and where I’m headed.

This isn’t easy for me to ask. I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, and I wouldn’t be reaching out if I didn’t truly need the support right now. I’m incredibly grateful for the friends in my life who have already shown up for me—the encouragement alone has meant more than I can put into words.
