Hi, my name is Gail. I’m a jobseeker, a builder and someone doing everything she can to keep going, despite the odds.

I was laid off in August 2024. Since then, I have been applying for work daily, following up on leads, doing contract work where I could and trying to build resources for other jobseekers too.

But despite all of that, I have not been able to find anything stable.

Now I’m living with the very real threat of eviction.

The building I live in was purchased for redevelopment into luxury condos and we have been warned that displacement is likely. There is no rent control. No right to return. And rent for even a single room in my city now costs more than my current apartment. The clock is ticking and I have no fallback.

Regardless of whether I’m forced out, the harder truth is that my government support is ending shortly. My savings are gone. And I simply will not be able to stay housed much longer unless something changes soon.

I do not have a support system. No parental support. No family to fall back on. No couch to crash on. I have been trying to hold the line alone and that line is fraying.

Still, I’m showing up. I’m still applying. I’m still hoping someone will give me a chance.

I have over 7 years of experience in operations and project delivery. I have built systems, scaled service teams and driven retention for businesses across North America. I’m open to remote roles in project management, customer success, RevOps or enablement.

I just need a bridge to get there.
