As much as I hate to do this, it seems somewhat necessary at this moment.

Most of you are aware that I recently encountered an unexpected health challenge resulting in a week in the hospital and some time off my feet.

Happily, most of the medical costs are covered by insurance. Unhappily, there is a (to me) significant gap. Additionally, I have learned that the program providing my stipend during the time I’m in school will not pay for the three weeks I was unable to attend full time.

Under normal circumstances, I might have had a cushion to cover these financial challenges. However, having been laid off earlier this year and working only part time until March, there hasn’t been much time or many extra resources to rebuild that cushion.

if you are able to assist, I would appreciate it enormously. Of course, know that there is absolutely NO expectation. Also know that I will continue to explore other ways to bridge this gap through my own efforts.
