It is with a heavy heart we share the news that our beautiful friend Bridgette, 36 year old wife and mum of two beautiful girls (Charlotte 4 and Lucille 1) has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. She has already begun the gruelling treatment that is Chemotherapy and is debilitated day by day, by the constant nausea, migraines and decline in her general health. As expected Bridgette is unable to work and her husband Stefan who owns his own business has greatly reduced his hours in order to help look after the kids and keep the house hold in order. This family needs the communities support now more than ever to help keep the bills paid and the roof over their head.
Bridgette has endured a lot of hardship over the last 12 months including losing her father and suffering the tragic loss of her third baby due to having to commence chemotherapy. Any support would be greatly appreciated to help this family get back on their feet!
Bridgette only recently has opened up publicly about her struggle fighting ALL and something she said that really stuck with us is “when I’m feeling my lowest I like to remind myself of something one of the doctors said to me. “Give us a year of your life so you can have 50 more”. It really resonated with me and that paragraph is what always gets me through”.
Let’s all get around this beautiful family and support her through this year of treatment to give her a lifetime back. If you are unable to donate, please take the time to share this page in hopes of reaching more people. Thank you all xx
