In June 2015, Bridget had an irregularity on her breast evaluated and a biopsy performed.  The results were positive for breast cancer.  On June 19, Bridget underwent a mastectomy and an initial reconstruction surgery.  Final pathology reports show she has Stage 2A breast cancer, but it was detected early and is highly treatable. The mass was small, slow growing and has not spread.

She is recovering from surgery with the help of her boyfriend, family, and friends.  She will begin an aggressive chemotherapy regimen in late July that will last approximately six months.  She will then undergo further reconstructive surgeries and will be treated with hormone therapy to suppress tumor growth for ten years.

Bridget will be faced with enormous challenges; physical, emotional, and financial.  Many have asked how they may help.  Thoughts and prayers for her continued recovery are very much needed.  We have started this site for those who wish to securely donate to assist with the financial burden that comes with chemotherapy, surgery, hospital bills, and pharmaceutical costs.  

Bridget has been and will continue to be a beacon of strength in our lives.  She is loyal and caring, intelligent and compassionate, full of infectious, energetic spirit.  Her passion for life and limitless sense of humor define her.  She helps us becomes better people when we do not know how.  She has supported us unconditionally, fighting alongside us in our endeavors, making the good times better and the hard times easier.  Please join me in supporting this tremendous woman who I am honored and blessed to call my friend.  Your generosity is appreciated.
