Bridgeport Flood- Help The Houcks Rebuild A Home

Our family took an absolute devastating loss from flooding due to Hurricane Ida on Wednesday, September 1. After surveying the house and getting most of the basement cleaned out it is clear that we will either have to completely leave our home or put in more work than we could ever afford to do on our own. We have flood insurance but it only covers the dwelling. Another life lesson as we’re trying to figure out how to be adults. Read everything! We are going to have to replace every single piece of furniture on the first floor and basement including all of our appliances. Max lost almost all of his toys which was really an extensive collection of Nerf guns. Those things are not cheap LOL. But really we lost just almost everything about a home that makes it livable besides a family which we count our blessings for every minute of every day after knowing the complete devastation our whole neighborhood took. Any help is appreciated beyond words that could be spoken. It took a lot of tears and sweat trying to work up the courage to make this fund. We’re just that desperate. We want to go home and at this point, with out your help we might never make it back there. Thank you for your consideration, we love you all so much!
