Since the beginning of March we have changed the way we operate our coffeehouses to adapt to rapid developments in the Covid-19 epidemic.
All four of our locations (Bridgeport, Hyde Park, South Loop, Jackson & Michigan) are closed as of March 21, 2020. Everyone in the company, including our president, has been laid off.
Now we ask for your help to create critically needed emergency funding for our staff. Please consider this as a big tip jar for all of the baristas who serve you. Please also consider continuing to buy your coffee online at our website and stocking up on gift cards.
Our president and founder Mike Pilkington will use whatever you donate to make emergency grants to staff who have needs of any kind. The faster we can raise funds for food, medicine, anything — the safer we can all be as your source for excellent coffee, and the faster we can be back on our feet to serve you. Hopefully in April!
