I always gave a dollar to that guy on the sidewalk, but I'd never believe I could be that guy. I'm hours away from actually being on that sidewalk. I am homeless and knew I needed a new job that paid what I need to survive and live normally. Unfortunately, it will be a week before that job starts with biweekly pay, and now, I have zero gas to get there and no way to get gas. I have been living in my (loaned) car, sleeping in parking lots, texting and searching on one of my ex's lines that she'll eventually cancel. Many people I know offered a lot of things, but none actually came through. I won't ask my friends. I can't. I can ask strangers and people I don't know that my friends know, but not my friends. In the end, either everyone will be a friend or no one will be.
Anyway, that's where I am at. My kids are with their mother until I get back up and I need just a little help doing that.
