Hi everyone,
This is incredibly difficult for me to write. Those who know me know that I’ve always been a "grinder"—someone who takes pride in outworking the room and being a top performer in sales. I’ve always been the one to provide, which makes asking for help now feel a bit overwhelming. However, for the sake of my family, I am putting my pride aside.
Last year, I started a new career in the Medicare industry. I hit the ground running and saw great success, but unfortunately, a series of major clerical errors by the company I worked for has created a "perfect storm" financially. Due to an internal failure to process policy chargebacks in real-time as required, the company began withholding massive amounts from my checks all at once to "correct" their own mistakes.
Over the last few months, this escalated to the point where they have been taking over $600 per paycheck while also absorbing all of my bonuses. For the last month, despite continuing to show up and work hard, I have not received a paycheck at all.
THE PATH FORWARD
The good news is that I have secured a new position and start on April 20th. I am ready to get back to doing what I do best, but as with any new role, there is a ramp-up period before commissions and full pay cycles kick in.
WHY I NEED YOUR HELP
This ordeal has exhausted our savings and put us in a critical position with our landlord. To ensure my family has a roof over our heads and to cover our essential expenses while I transition to this new job, I need to raise $6,000 by May 18th. This will bridge the gap until my new income is stable.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
If you are in a position to donate, please know that no amount is too small. Every dollar is a lifeline that helps me keep my family safe while I get back on my feet.
If you cannot give financially, I truly value your support in other ways:
Prayers: We are leaning on our faith right now.
Sharing: Please like and share this post to help it reach others.
I am deeply grateful for the grace and mercy shown to us during this time. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for being part of our village.
With gratitude,
The Ruiz Family
