I’m writing on behalf of my brother Pooyan and his wife, an Iranian couple living in Dubai who are going through an incredibly difficult time.
After years of dedication to a meaningful startup project, they’ve faced unexpected setbacks that have left them in a serious financial struggle. Despite their best efforts—including selling their apartment back in Iran—the impact of sanctions and currency devaluation has made it nearly impossible to keep up with basic expenses like rent and health insurance in Dubai. Furthermore recent conflicts has severely impacted their savings in their home country.
Now, there’s a hopeful turning point: my brother has been accepted into a Master’s program in Music Therapy in Germany. This is a rare and life-changing opportunity, but they need some help to make the transition and cover essential living costs over the next few months.
