On December 10th, while I was at taekwondo class with my son, a drunk driver crashed into our car, totaling it completely. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the driver was identified by witnesses, who say the driver exclaimed, after destroying our car, “Can’t we just forget about this?” before fleeing the scene.

Honestly, hearing that wrecked my heart even more. No, we can’t just forget about it. We can’t forget about getting to work and school. We can’t forget about the holidays. I can’t forget about running errands and getting Christian to his activities promptly and safely. Reliable transportation is essential for our day-to-day life, and I’m working to move forward quickly & responsibly.

I’m leaning on community to help us bridge this gap. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, means more than I can say to Christian and me.

Funds raised will help resolve the remaining balance on the totaled vehicle and assist with securing reliable transportation so we can return to our daily routines.
