Hello! I am trying to raise funds to help my father, Tony, who is 83 years old and has had a series of medical dramas over the last year. He is a widower who lives alone, although he currently has 24/7 health aides who assist with all his activities of daily living. He lives on a fixed income (social security), and his very modest savings are now depleted. We just got him approved for the Medicaid Home & Community-Based Waiver program, which will cover the costs of his aides, but it will be two more weeks before that kicks in. I am trying to keep him at his home during this time, and/or arrange for a month in respite care to bridge the gap. I am sadly not in a position to help him, as I am paying off my own medical debt (and have incurred additional debt in helping him with this process). My fundraising goal is to cover two additional weeks of home help!
