I’m Shay Snow, previously Paizo’s Pathfinder Society developer. Due to circumstances surrounding Paizo’s finances related to the Diamond bankruptcy, I was laid off from my dream job.

I moved up to Seattle with my spouse Khangi in 2022 for this dream job, leaving behind my entire family and most of my support network in Texas. As of 2023, Khangi became too disabled to work, and I have been attempting to support us and our cats ever since.

The good news is, I’m very qualified and a hard worker, so I expect to be working sooner rather than later. The bad news is, I’m in a field where going from application to hired takes a long time AND the job economy is extremely rocky.

I’m asking for about two months’ worth of support; this covers our rent, medications, appointments, car payment, and utilities. Every little bit helps; if I can stay housed, I can get a job and I can get back to creative work.
