Bridge the Gap for Ashley and Emily's Future
Donation protected
When you're getting married, although the preparations can be stressful, it is generally a time for excitement and joy. Ashley and Emily have been preparing for their wedding on Nov. 17, and they recently had some medical and home mishaps that have put them into severe debt just before their wedding day.
While we celebrated Ashley's birthday at the end of September, someone brought over a new cat on a leash that was not trained or used to being outdoors. The animal was stressed and escaped the leash twice, and when Emily worked to secure the pet, she was bitten several times. These bites led to a visit to the ER for a wound wash, and then later developed a deep tissue infection that required more irrigation, an extended hospital stay, and over $45K in medical debt.
To add insult to literal injury, shortly after Emily's hospital stay, their beautiful home needed unexpected emergency plumbing repairs, including lead pipe replacement, new water lines, and a subfloor.
While the cost of all of this is over $50,000 for emergency house and medical bills before they get married, they are only requesting $10,000 to help them bridge the gap. I think we can do this, and I sincerely hope we can exceed it and kick our newlyweds off into marriage with fewer worries as they begin the next chapter of their lives together.
