Bridal Veil Falls- GRAMA Records Request fees
I WOULD APPRECIATE 99 PEOPLE TO JOIN MY $10 DONATION. Records will show Who/What/When/Why/Where/How.
Utah County has over the past few years provided GRAMA requests for free. Commissioner Bill Lee provided for such. Now that we are seeking records asking for records that involve Commissioner Lee the County is asking for research fees. It is a rather deep search request for history sake and to see if there were illegal meetings and how many communications between Commissioner Lee, Richard Losee, Curtis Miner etc. This is history we are working to preserve and use lessons herein to improve processes to protect public lands.
In the past I have paid mostly out of pocket for GRAMA fees when I was dealing with American Fork Canyon issues. Mayor of Cedar Hills Gary Gygi, If I recall correctly required $200 and I paid it, and found the passenger manifest and itinerary for the Switzerland trip as well as a confidential document between the resort and what their plan was for a Tram, base station at Tibble.
TOGETHER WE stopped that, and with the leadership of Commissioner Ivie and Commissioner Ainge, many mayors and "We the People" and good help from within Utah County Attorney's office, with help from Save Our Canyons, Wasatch Backcountry Alliance, Protect and Preserve American Fork Canyon and private citizens and Utah Open Trust Lands, Bridal Veil Falls will be protected.
CPA Stephen Shelley has agreed to oversee the distribution of the funds for GRAMA requests. Stephen has donated his time to keep the books for American Fork Canyon Alliance 501c(3) as well.

There are still many unanswered questions. The GRAMA requests below will take staff time to research. I need to raise funding for these records and perhaps others to get to the bottom of what we nearly lost.
Please join with me, I have very little resources as I lost my job to Covid, but I will put in the first $10 and challenge 99+ more people to join with me. The GRAMA records will help us find the whole truth.
Please share in your groups. Let understand how we nearly lost Bridal Veil Falls, so we can change internal county processes and create a better filtering mechanism so future developers can't take away open spaces without public input.
Thank you all for the help you provided, for the mayors and other elected officials for rising up. We accomplished the near impossible in less than 5 weeks time.
