Thanks to our amazing donors, we’ve officially purchased land, built a secure fence, and begun construction on a new school for children with special needs in Kayonza, Rwanda. In just two months, these resilient kids will move from an exposed porch into safe, weatherproof, accessible classrooms with indoor toilets. This is a life-changing milestone—and we couldn’t have done it without you.

In Kayonza, children with disabilities often face isolation and lack access to basic education and care. This school is more than bricks and mortar—it’s a promise of dignity, inclusion, and opportunity. It’s a place where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.

To truly serve these children and the dedicated staff who care for them, we need to complete the next phase of construction:

• Wheelchair-accessible outdoor washrooms for staff: So they don’t have to share facilities with the children, preserving hygiene and dignity for all.

• An outdoor kitchen: To prepare nutritious meals for the children in a safe, clean environment.

• Secure storage space: For food, cleaning supplies, and other essentials—kept safely out of reach of curious little hands.

• A small caretaker’s room: So someone can live on-site to maintain the compound and ensure the children’s safety day and night.
