“Bricks from Benny”
“In honor of our beloved Benny, please enjoy these bricks with the wonder and joy that he did. “
This is the logo and inscription on each of the sets of LEGO bricks that we donated in Benny’s honor this past Christmas Day.
The concept came from a group of our closest friends who wanted to surprise us with something that would give our family great joy. LEGO corporate, along with Lincoln Hobby Town got on board to help out!
Then, the Kerns ( and Nelson) family was given the boxes ofLEGOs to give away in any way we saw fit. After much discussion, we made a new tradition. We all went to Omaha hospitals on Christmas Day. We were able to see the kids who’s day would be a bit brighter. The true gift was how it made OUR first Christmas feel a little more magical.
Our family will continue this tradition from now on! We will be collecting money to buy LEGOs , OR new sets can be brought to our house.
