We’re reaching out to our loved ones and social networks in the hopes for help. We as a family have encountered a financial hardship due to our beloved sister, daughter, girlfriend, aunt, Bricias hospitalization for the majority of 2019.

Bricia has been unfortunately diagnosed with a rare disease of the immune system known as (HLH) Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.

Essentially, cells in Bricia’s body have become problematic and start to attack other cells in her body such as her T cells. Her symptoms from HLH rampage between Enlargement of liver, Swollen lymph nodes, Skin rashes, Jaundice, Lung problems, including coughing and difficulty breathing Digestive problems, including stomachache, vomiting, and diarrhea, Nervous system problems, including headache, trouble walking, visual disturbances, and weakness.  The link below gives a better description of what Bricias body is going through.

As you can read Bricia hasn’t been able to leave the hospital and requires assistance from family members.

The great news is HLH is curable but comes via an extensive process. An hematopoietic stem cell transplant and/or immunosuppressive/immunomodulating therapy and/or bone marrow transplant. One dose of this treatment can cost up to $50,000.

Although, we are in hopes of Bricia healing soon. Until she does we need all the help we can get. It’s tough for us to disclose this personal information but we did it to show transparency through this process and hope at least you can have us in your prayers.
