Brian Sato of Makawao is raising funds for Haku Baldwin Center by walking the entire perimeter of Maui in 8 days, beginning April 16, 2016. This is an ambitious undertaking and your donation can help.
Brian's goal is to raise $5,000 dollars for Haku Baldwin Center's non-profit programs. These include: Therapeutic Horseback Riding for children with special needs; Animal-Assisted Therapy/Activities for patients of all ages; Humane Animal Education; and Horsemanship for Veterans. All non-profit programs are provided at no cost to participants.
The walk is scheduled to start at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday April 16, 2016 at Baldwin Beach. From there he will walk around the East side though beautiful Hana, continuing through Kipahulu, Kaupo, Kanio, and Ulupalakua. His journey will continue through Kihei, then onto Ma'alaea heading towards Lahaina; and then onto Ka'anapali, Kahana, Napili, Kapalua, and around the back side of the scenic West Maui Mountains. He will return to Baldwin Beach on April 23rd to end his walk.
Brian is a recipient of the 2015 Gold Level President's Volunteer Service Award. He spends most of his time volunteering for non-profit organizations on Maui, and has dedicated his life to helping the community.
