Brian's Stage 4 Cancer battle
Donation protected
In October 2022, Brian was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma. He had surgery to remove the kidney and we assumed he was on the road to recovery. He was feeling good, back to work and even hitting the gym 3 times per week with his sons. In June of 2023, we were told the cancer had spread to his lungs and lymphnodes. He is diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. Since June, we have been fighting this with everything we have, physically, emotionally and financially. He has insurance (not sure for how long) but the co pays are getting out of reach. I have missed several days/weeks of work to take him to appointments and/or be with him in the hospital. We have 5 boys at home ages 18, 16, 15, 12, and 8 (and 1 who watches us from Heaven). Brian spent many years coaching youth football in the valley (flag and tackle) and the boys are football players for South Range. We were hoping to handle this quietly; however, there is more money going out than coming in. His medical bills and co pays for medications and medical equiptment are more than we can handle. We will need to make adjustments to our home to ensure safety and ease for him when he comes home from hospital ( a shower to the 1st floor of our home so he does not have to attempt the stairs) These bills, added to the expense of raising 5 boys has put a major strain on our family. We had money to go towards college for our older boys and now we are struggling to pay simple things like school lunch accts and athletic equiptment and dues. Brian is determinded to attend his boys' football games this season one way or another. He is currently awaiting yet another surgery to help clear his lungs. We are not giving up. Any donation will help. If anyone knows of any services that may offer assistance, please let us know. Prayers are always welcome and appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read.
