Raising Funds for Brian Brooks Spitfire Experience
Donation protected
My dad, Brian Brooks, turns SIXTY this March. There's no secret about that.
Something dad has been (very) vocal about desiring is specifically a flight in a Spitfire. His dad fixed them up and always wanted to fly them, but couldn't due to not having 20-20 eyesight. It has always been my dad's dream to jump in and fly one.
There are experiences that can be bought to make this wish a reality. It's possible to fly beside one and even fly inside one. The most expensive days involve all of these, photoshoots in the cockpit and seeing how they are started up at the beginning of the day. However, my dad will be just as happy to just have one flight in one.
Unfortunately, my brother, Chris, and I don’t have the £2,750 (at least) cost to get this experience for him but he has said he’s willing to put his own money towards it.
So, this fundraiser has been set up for people who would like to celebrate his SIXTIETH birthday, by giving something towards his goal. It's not a charity or a cause that will make a difference, it is just something my dad, Brian, would like to do, so there's no offense if you decide to pass on this.
If you do give to this gift for Brian, I know he'll be very grateful for the gift, no matter how big or small. Your contribution will help him tick off something he's dreamed of doing since he was a child - how many of us can say we've done that?
Thank you for reading this. If you leave any birthday funds or happy birthday messages I'll ensure my dad gets them and knows who it is from (unless you remain anonymous - then he'll have to guess!)
Always good things,
Matt Brooks
