Brian’s Re-Cone-struction Fund
On June 21st, 2021, Brian Cone sustained a road bike crash that resulted in spinal trauma and a C6 dislocation, requiring surgery and a week in the Neuro ICU. Since then, he has been recovering, re-learning, and impressing everyone with his progress through an intense rehab regimen.
The Cone family is taking everything one day at a time, with the thoughtful and thorough planning you’d expect from an engineer and scientist super-couple. There are still a lot of unknowns: house modifications needed for the short and long term, wheelchair(s), outpatient rehab, and other equipment needed to get Brian back out onto the roads and trails that he loves. The family has been so humble, already looking for ways they can give back to others with similar injuries who may not have access to the resources and support network that they have. But we know that this journey is just beginning, and we want Brian, Kelsey, and Sierra to be setup with everything they need to help them thrive. Any donation is greatly appreciated and helps alleviate some of the stress of the unknown that is still to come.
If you’d like to make a donation directly to the Cone’s and avoid the 2.9% transaction fee, you can also give straight to Brian’s Venmo account at @Brian-Cone. Unless you instruct otherwise, we will post your donation here as an offline donation contributing towards the fundraiser goal.
