Brian's Medical & Surgery Expenses

Hello Everyone! For those of you that know Brian/Barney/ My Dad you may know he has been battling cancer of the vocal cords on and off for a few years now. He made it through Radiation & Chemo successfully and even had a period of time that he was considered "cancer free". During the course of this year we found out that his cancer was back. We traveled to NYC for a second opinion on his surgery options to remove this cancer. His surgery is scheduled tomorrow to take out part of his vocal cord and to try to remove the cancer entirely. We are praying that it can be removed easily with few complications but we know there is a chance this cancer could return which would leave to my Dad losing his vocal cords entirely which would be devastating to him.
I will start off by saying I was very hesitant to even make a go fund me especially because my Dad may potentially be mad, as he is not someone that would ever ask for help. If you know my Dad you know he would quite literally give you the shirt off his back and if you haven't met him it's a shame. My Dad is one of the most selfless people I have ever met and I felt like this would be a great way to give back to him for all he does. Whether it be a share, prayer, positive note of encouragement for when he gets out of surgery anything helps. I wanted to share this in the hopes to help him out and not have to worry about medical expenses.
To give you a background of the person my Dad is and the affect he has had on others could go on as I am sure we all have so many stories. If you have worked with my Dad or know him through his love of Baseball or Umpiring, he has probably taken you to dinner or brought in bake goods, etc. One year we went to the red wings opening game on a freezing day and he insisted on going to buy my brother and I a blanket. They were expensive and we told him not to and he came back with two blankets, one for my brother and I to share. The second he had bought for a 16 year old boy and his little brother that he noticed sitting near us. When the boy asked him why he simply said "It's so nice to see an older brother bring their brother to a game". My Dad is a school bus driver and loves his students endlessly. He is always telling us sweet stories about the kids and I have personally been with him when he goes to pick them out all sorts of toys and trinkets just to make them smile.
When my Dad had found out he was "cancer free" he bought the whole bar a round to celebrate. When we went to NYC for the second opinion appointment and he knew his cancer was back, he saw a woman that was stopped and appeared to be crying. We were walking along and he stopped to ask her if she was okay. His kindness truly knows no bounds and I am truly in awe of him everyday. He is always thinking of others before himself.
Serving others brings my Dad so much joy and I would love if we could do the same for him to show him how loved and appreciated he is by so many people.
Even just kind words/ thoughts & prayers his way would be greatly appreciated.
