Our family’s world changed when my dad was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Since then, everything has moved fast—hospital stays, chemo, and now the path toward a stem cell transplant at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
He’s already completed his first round of chemo and is back in the hospital for another round before transplant. We’re hopeful, but we know the months ahead will be long and intense.
He and my mom will need to be in New York City for 100 days during treatment and recovery. Thankfully, they’ve been accepted into Hope Lodge, which helps with housing, but there are still a lot of other costs adding up.
Donations will help with travel, daily expenses, lost income, medical costs not fully covered, and keeping things running at home while they’re away.
We’re trying to take this one step at a time and stay focused on getting him through transplant and back home healthy.
If you can help, even a little, it means so much. And if not, sharing this or keeping our family in your thoughts truly helps too.
