Brians Farms

Donation protected

My good friend of 16 years suffered a catastrophe on his farm. On the night of Januray 23rd, a massive building devastated his main building, killing a flock of 16,000 turkeys in the process. It destroyed other equipment and infrastructure he needs to operate the farm that was stored in the building.

Insurance will only pay out enough to cover the mortgage until the building is rebuilt and operational. It will NOT pay enough to rebuild the building that is needed to continue operating. This building was the only building on the farm that the farm can’t operate without. To be blunt: if Brian can’t rebuild this integral piece of his farm, the farm will fail.

A few words from Brian: "I spent 6 years in the 173rd Airborne bridge, 2 deployments with them to combat in war zones in the middle east, followed by 4 years with the 82nd Airborne division. During those years I saved every spare penny from my pay, bonuses and deployments and put it into an account to buy this farm, which is my dream. When I left service I was at fire training the very next day to be able be on the local volunteer fire department while I worked the farm. I have put 8 years into the farm. Without being able to rebuild this one building I will be looking at starting over without anything except debt that I didn’t have when I was 19. The insurance is probably going to pay some but between cleanup, reconstruction time and the mortgage, it will leave a gap in what I will be able to afford without help and generosity from as many people who are willing… if they can spare some money please please do so, if you can’t please share it and encourage those who can spare some to give."

It is my hope that we can help a great friend, great farmer, and great man rebuild his dreams.

Brian is a devout believer in Christ and regularly takes from his own personal time to help others in need. He uses his time and money to help those he barely knows. He loves his family, his combat brothers, and his land.

He has been quoting Job 1:21 & Ecc 9:11 at people when he needs to gather himself and the enormity of his loss starts to get to him. He’s remained upbeat but it’s an obvious struggle each day.
