Brian's Brain Cancer Helpers

On December 27th, we were called to a hotel that Brian was doing a stay-cation with his girls because he wasn't feeling well.  He was talking but wasn't super responsive and I noticed there seemed to be something wrong with his left side.  A quick trip by ambulance to HCMC had the ER doctors doing a CT scan on his head.  The scan showed a good size mass on his right side.  In the days since then we have found out that he has brain cancer, glioblastoma (GBM).  He underwent surgery on December 28th to remove a majority of the grapefruit-sized tumor.  He will have a second surgery on January 10th, then he will start radiation and chemo to try to make sure all of this nasty cancer gets hit.  Brain has focused his life on his two little girls, Isibele, 6 and Haleigh, 5.  His love for basketball has rarely decreased and he has actively coached and played for years.  Brian was in the process of getting health insurance when all of this hit so we have been busy trying to work our way through that system and figure out if he even has coverage.  It seems his case is still pending.  He is also a proud small buiness owner with his own flooring installation business.  Unfortunately, this illness has put a lot of pressure on him financially with no ability to make money and bills still coming in.  We are trying to raise enough funds to cover his bills for three months (January, February, and March).  This will ensure we can make his house payment, car payment, utilities, etc. and we keep praying for good news on medical insurance.  Clients may be awaiting his calls or installation but getting information is tough, I'm certain as we get that figured out we may need help in completing those jobs.  Right now, we are doing what we can each day; praying that this second surgery goes well and watching him push himself hard through all the therapy to get his left side fully functioning.  He wants nothing more than to be able to go home, snuggle with his girls and fall asleep watching some basketball on the big screen!  We geniunely appreciate all the support, prayers and love that are helping him get better!
