Brian’s 2025 NYC Marathon run for NYPD With Arms Wide Open

Hello, my name is Brian and I’m a married father of 3 boys, twins Jake and Peyton, and Brendan. My wife Christina and I live in Massapequa, and I was a NYPD Police Officer for 20 years. I started running a few years ago and this 2025 will be my 6th TCS NYC Marathon.

I have run in the past with the NYPD Runners Club, and I have truly loved the accomplishment of running a marathon as a great personal achievement. But after meeting Merritt Riley and his Aidan, and reading about NYPD With Arms Wide Open, I realized I can be a part of something that is bigger then my own personal achievement and actually make a difference in someone’s life.

NYPD With Arms Wide Open is a 501(c)3 Foundation that assists NYPD Police Officer of all ranks, active and retired that have special needs and medically complex children. They assist with offsetting medical costs, medical devices, therapies and accessible modifications to the home.
