Brianne‘s fight with metastatic breast cancer

Hi, my name is Emma, I’m fundraising for someone very close to me. She started out as my boss a few years ago but I am now honoured to call her my friend.

Brianne has endured a lengthy and ongoing battle with breast cancer that began for her back in 2019, all the while managing to keep her household running as a single mum, two young boys looked after and for the most part was still going to work each day.

When I met her in 2022 she had been enjoying a period of what she thought was “remission” but that period of time was to be short lived and after many radiological investigations and painful biopsies and interventions the news came back that she had multiple bony metastasis.

Since that time, despite trying multiple treatment options including clinical trials, the metastasis have spread to various organs including her liver in a relatively short period of time.

In true Brianne style she continues to attend work each day, running two busy medical clinics, despite the side effects of her treatments.

Her main goal in life is to leave what she can for her two sons and she really is an inspiration to us all but she desperately needs to take some time out for herself.

I would really love to raise money for Brianne and her two sons, who are now young adults, to be given the opportunity to enjoy some down time without financial stress, travel a little and make some precious memories together with her family.
